American Honey-Clove Baked Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked ham (4–6 lb)
  • 20–25 whole cloves
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard
  • ½ cup pineapple juice or orange juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
  • Insert one whole clove into each diamond.
  • Mix honey, brown sugar, mustard, and juice.
  • Brush glaze generously over the ham.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1½–2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil in last 20 minutes to caramelize.
