Total Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4–6 (Makes about 18 cookies)
🧾 Ingredients:
For the Cookies:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon True Organic Cinnamon Powder
- ¼ teaspoon True Organic Whole Cloves, finely ground or crushed
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for chewiness)
For Topping (Optional):
2 tablespoons sugar + ¼ teaspoon True Organic Cinnamon Powder, mixed
👩🍳 Instructions:
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Prepare Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, True Organic Cinnamon Powder, crushed True Organic Whole Cloves, baking soda, and salt. -
Cream Butter & Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). -
Add Wet Ingredients:
Mix in egg, vanilla extract, and honey/maple syrup until well combined. -
Combine Mixtures:
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a soft dough forms. -
Shape the Cookies:
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and (optional) coat with cinnamon-sugar topping.
Place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. -
Bake:
Bake for 9–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
The centers should still be soft — they’ll firm up as they cool. -
Cool & Serve:
Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Enjoy warm with a cup of coffee, milk, or hot cocoa!
✨ Serving Tip:
These cookies make a perfect holiday treat — warm, aromatic, and slightly spiced from the cinnamon and cloves. You can also add a handful of chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
