New Year Special Lemon Herb Celebration Rice

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups basmati or jasmine rice
  • 3 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley or coriander, chopped

Optional garnish:

  • roasted cashews
  • pomegranate seeds

👩🍳 Instructions:

Cook the Rice:
Rinse rice well and cook with water or broth until fluffy. Set aside.

Build the Flavor:
Heat olive oil or butter in a pan. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add turmeric and black pepper; stir briefly

Combine & Finish:
Add cooked rice, lemon zest, lemon juice, and salt. Gently mix until evenly coated.

Garnish & Serve:
Top with fresh herbs, roasted cashews, or pomegranate seeds for a festive touch.
